Registration

As soon as you have coordinated your wishes with the possibilities provided ( Locations , Possible Dates , Special Wedding ), maybe you have also made a reservation for the wedding online or by telephone, you will get to the actual registration by bringing along all Necessary Documents . The legitimate period for the registration for the wedding is six months, that means that you can register six months at earliest before the actual date of your wedding. In spite of that, you may make your reservation for your wedding even earlier.

In the course of the registration, the following will be carried out:

• Taking down of particulars
• Handing in of declarations or wishes (for example choice of surname)
• Signatures of the engaged couple (that is why both of you should be there) Payment of Charges and Fees
• Clarification of other matters: the course of the marriage ceremony, music, handing out of a ticket for parking for the car of bride and groom

You will need about one hour for the wedding registration. (Our opening hours for wedding registration are the following: Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. to 11.30 a.m., Tuesdays additionally from 4 p.m. to 5.30 p.m., there is no possibility for wedding registration on Friday)

Note:
There is one part of the registration proceedings, namely the so-called "determination of the marriageability", for which the appropriate authority is the registry office of your main place of residence. If you do not have any residence in the district of Moedling, you will have to go to the registry office of your district with your documents. There you will have to state that (and when) you are going to get married in Moedling. After you have done this, you will have to come to us in order to complete your wedding registration.

Important:
The reservation of the date will only be fixed after we have received all necessary documents. Therefore, verify, before the deadline of your reservation runs out, whether we have got your file and, if necessary, prolong your wedding reservation by phone.
